Project: Eastleigh Football Club Development

Client: Eastleigh Football Club

Tonnage: 75 Tonnes

Location: Eastleigh, Southampton

Snashall Steel provided the drawing, fabrication and erection of the steelwork for the development of the Eastleigh's Clubs facilities.

The first of these was a fully galvanised hollow section frame to support their new LED scoreboard.

Then followed the new Clubhouse which was a 48-meter long mono-pitched frame featuring cold rolled purlins and rails for cladding fixing. After this was erected, a 6-meter-wide canopy was fabricated and fixed to the full length of the front of the building.

The final part was a 37.5-meter grandstand extension. Featuring cantilevering rafters which were cranked with a downward vertical stub to support the cladding detail on the apex.

The raking beams have a number of angle brackets to support the precast terrace seating area. A number of shear studs were incorporated on top of these brackets to allow the terrace seating to be fixed and installed onto our steelwork.

Due to the exposed nature of the grandstand, the whole frame was galvanised to protect it from the elements.
