Project: Bristol Airport

Client: ISG Pearce

Tonnage: 280 Tonnes

Location: Bristol Airport

This project involved the construction of a new central pier for the expansion of Bristol International Airport.

The large-scale re-development comprised a new central pier, a new passenger walkway and substantial improvement to the existing terminal lobbies.

The two-storey steel frame has been designed to account for the latest commercial jet aircraft and for the surge of passengers during busy travel times by incorporating a large number of stairs and passenger lifts.

Extensive planning and organisation was required to erect the structure while the airport remained open and adhering to the strict security procedures.
